Touche Éclat Foundation & Anti-Cernes Concealer review

I had always wanted to try the Touche Éclat Foundation. I have seen so many beauty bloggers rave about this product, however I resisted for a while because I love my Chanel Vitalumière Aqua. However, after I came back from holiday, I had tanned so I decided rather than buying one shade darker in the Chanel foundation, I would try out the new YSL one.

I went to John Lewis and the lady colour matched me, I went with one shade lighter than she suggested because on my skin any type of foundation oxidises so much and leaves my skin dull.

Initial thoughts, I love how it made my skin look. My skin looked healthy and slightly dewy but not oily (I have dry skin). It doesn’t feel like you are wearing anything at all. It is a very light coverage but still does even out your skin tone. I am not sure I would wear it for a night out but I love wearing it in the day. Doesn’t streak and blends beautifully. I use a Real Techniques Expert face brush to apply it. I didn’t particular notice any scent from the foundation but I don’t really pay attention to that (unless of course it is super strong).

I had also wanted to try out the Touche Éclat since they had bought out some more colours. However, after testing them out, none still really did anything for me. I mentioned my severe dark circles to her as I have terrible dark circles that a hereditary, from sinus problems and I have PCOS so as you can imagine they are bad. I usually use Bobbi brown correctors in peach tone but they crease on me so damn much! I mentioned this to her so she tried out the Anti-Cernes Concealer and I was shocked as to how much it concealed.

Obviously, they didn’t completely cover it (no amount of makeup will) but considering I didn’t use the correctors this concealers really made a difference. Also, it was just the perfect colour for my skin. This was a surprising discovery as I didn’t really expect to find something like this but I am so happy it did. It doesn’t crease; it’s in stick form, so I apply it directly under my eyes and around my nose and then blend with a brush. One thing I like about stick concealers is that they don’t get everywhere like all over your fingers.

Obviously, they are YSL so they are expensive, which is sad but I love them so much I will definitely be repurchasing.

I might do a comparison post of the Touche Éclat Foundation and Chanel Vitalumière Aqua since the coverage is the same. Let me know if you want to read that.
